Case Study - 5 Nicholls Place, Higgins
The owners of this property amazed us with their determination to present their house as best they could. They engaged painters to update the tired exterior and hired us to transform the interior. On first impressions of this empty property, the carpet and curtains stood out as being very dated. We advised the owners to renew the curtains in the main living area and, with our accessories and furniture, the space would appear more contemporary to families. Replacing these curtains was not an expensive exercise at all but the overall effect was huge and, combined with the styling, helped to take the focus away from the carpet.
In both the study and in one of the children's bedrooms, there a wall of empty shelving. With careful styling, we transformed the shelving and made it a real feature of the rooms by adding fantastic colour and interest.
Ultimately, our job was to create a family home that oozed warmth and which suggested to buyers that this was a happy and fun place to be. Creating spaces that impact the emotions of buyers is what we're all about.
This property sold at auction.
"Hiring Sold On Styling to prepare our property for sale was the single best decision we made when putting the house on the market. Suzy and Mel transformed our empty house into a warm, colourful and welcoming home. When our house sold on auction day, the buyers told us that the main reason they were attracted to the house was because it felt so warm and inviting - I credit that feel entirely to SOS's styling. Mel and Suzy are clearly passionate about their work and immensely talented. They were an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way and I cannot recommend their services highly enough."
