Case Study - Forde

This property in Forde looked like many others in the suburb from the outside but inside the owners had incorporated wallpaper as a way of introducing colour and character to their home. Wallpaper has made a big comeback and one feature wall can add glamour and warmth to any room, as you can see below in the photos. In addition, the vendors owned some fabulous retro pieces such as an original Verner Panton pendent light hanging over the end of the kitchen bench, orange retro stools and a large macrame wall hanging in the hallway. These statement pieces meant the home had plenty of personality for us to work with. We continued with the retro theme in the living areas which really worked with the proportions of the space. The photos illustrate how colour really does bring a home to life and we often wonder why people shy away from incorporating bold pops of colour into their decorating schemes?
